Who's on staff at Pontotoc Tech Center?
We're broken out into teams (Community, IT professionals, and Teaching) to make it easier for leaders to figure out what they do. This is a group of tech experts who work together on various projects that support the mission of Tech Center. Each team is led by a lead technology professional.
What does the Community Team at Tech Center do?
The Community Team is responsible for helping our students succeed in school and prepare for the workforce. They teach in the classroom and on our technology focused performance standards. The Community Team is made up of certified teachers that have a passion for technology and education. These teachers find that using technology as a teaching tool, enhances their lesson plans, engages their students, and ultimately helps them learn how to be more successful in their future endeavors.
Who are your IT professionals?
We have several Certified Cisco Network Associates (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Specialists (MCP) + IT Professionals that work onsite at corporate campuses. They use their technical knowledge to provide IT planning, skill assessment, and technical support. They work with sensitive information and help safeguard our various systems.
Who are your Teaching Professionals?
Our Teaching Professionals are certified in appropriate core competencies and skills for the classroom environment including reading, writing, math, science, leadership/communication skills, and general knowledge. We have several technology-based certifications that our teachers have achieved such as Computer Science for Teachers (CS4) and Cisco Certified Network Associate - Data Center (CCNA).
What do you do?
We teach technology skills to high school students. We empower our students to learn more about technology, apply it in the workplace, and be more confident with computers and the internet. Our mission is to help prepare our young adults for careers in business, industry, and technology.
How do you get started teaching at Pontotoc Tech Center?
Just like in a normal school, you will need to submit an application and be accepted. Once your paperwork is filed and approved, you will be able to schedule your technology classes based on availability. All of our teachers are highly qualified and certified in their respective fields. We work with schools to find the best fit for each teacher's skill set.

Yes, we do! From our current graduating high school students to college interns, we would love to have you on our team. We keep a list of talented and highly qualified individuals in mind for future positions such as internships, job placement, and full-time employment.
