The East Valley Community Health Center has been providing high-quality, comprehensive health care to East Valley residents for over 25 years and is committed to protecting, promoting, and improving the health of our patients. We provide a wide array of medical services such as family practice, mental health counseling, maternal/child care, laboratory services, and much more. We are going to highlight many different aspects of what makes EVCHC the best in the area including information on how we got started even up until our latest community service project.  What services does EVCHC provide?


EVCHC provides family medicine, mental health counseling, and lab services to the general public. We offer several programs and community service projects that benefit members of our community.


Can I make a donation to EVCHC?


 Unfortunately, we do not accept donations at this time; however, you can make an appointment for one of our clinics or programs! During the holiday season, our volunteers will be collecting gifts for underprivileged children from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm on December 23rd at several locations throughout the East Valley. All gifts collected will go directly to the family in need.

When did EVCHC start?


 The East Valley Community Health Center was founded in 1986 by Frank Fox and his wife. Edward W. and Bea J. Mitchell donated the land which was then transformed into a full medical facility, including a retail clinic at 40th Street and McClintock Drive to serve the needs of the East Valley community.

Frank and Shirley Fox, Edward, and Bea Mitchell, Rene Tiznado, Eddie Lopez and Edna Madison, Paul Priffker Jr., Paula Sanchez-Lezama, Tony Castro-Hillier, Carin Seabolt-Tharp. Drs. Michael Lopez and Kenneth Seabolt.

What community projects is EVCHC involved in?


EVCHC participates in many different community projects which include the Take Pride in our Valley (TPIV) Campaign, which involves the beautification of our neighborhood by picking up litter, removal of graffiti, and tree-planting events. Along with the TPIV Campaign, there are other volunteer events including the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Toy Drive.


Lieutenant Governor Jan Brewer first launched the Take Pride in Our Valley campaign under a grant from Keep America Beautiful. The mission of TPIV is to involve homeowners, businesses, and schools to prevent litter from entering Arizona's waterways by taking three simple steps: Recycle it, Reduce it and Reuse it.


What is EVCHC's mission statement?


The East Valley Community Health Center is dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality of healthcare services. We strive to provide our patients with the best medical and mental health care in a caring and compassionate manner. We will provide free or reduced-cost care based on patient needs, not their ability to pay. EVCHC is committed to working with other community organizations in order to improve the overall health of the East Valley community.


Who serves as EVCHC's executive director?


The current Executive Director is Denise Payne-Schultz. Before the founding of EVCHC, Denise was Vice President of Community Health for a national chain of primary care clinics. She has worked in the field for over 16 years and has served in executive positions with various healthcare organizations. She holds a Master's Degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's from Northern Arizona University.

What types of services does EVCHC provide?


Our medical services include general family practice medical care, mental health counseling, and lab services including blood draw and urine tests. Our teen and family services include a friendly, comfortable environment where teens can come and get advice on sexual health issues or questions about their families.
